PUNKBUSTER KICKS?????

hey ppls my roommate has just purchased a computer and we installed aa on it. Every time he logs to a server pb kicks him for unknown reasons. says pb kick 97ee etc and spams b4 he gets booted. anyone know why at all? is there a security setting or something on vista i need to know about?? this is getting really annoying!!

Is he the only user on the computer running Vista?

If so, is he logged in as an Administrator or normal user?

I'm running Vista myself and have no problems, as I log in as an Administrator, however some people have stated that normal users under Vista can't play AA because all the 'allowed' settings aren't setup (AA, pb, Firewall, etc).

yea only user. how do u log in as an admin? io didnt think there was an admin account on this computer

ok its kicking saying system communication failure pnkbstra.exe anyone know what that means??

Yep i had that prob i run ZoneAlarm firewall but allowed it and the other
one (pnkbstrb.exe) and yeh all good now m8 if that helps not shure with
VISTA though as i run XP still. [smilie=flicks.gif]

i am having no problems with running AA and using vista, no that i have sorted out my regname file everything is working fine and my new computer is handling AA quite nicely as long as he is administrator he should have no problems and as long as pnkbstrb.exe is allowed through the firewall it should be fine.

you need to find pnkbstra and pnkbstrb right click -> properties -> computability -> run as admin

if ur getting the pnkbstrA.exe or B.exe kick notice, u need to get a file called pbsvc.exe, And run the Test. It should come back that those two failed... Reinstall PB and it should work, Failing that, contact AAO.

Its under example 21, i think. But get the PBSVC.exe and run that first....
