Onix TB512-16g - Android Tablet - ALDI

This is a guide on how to re-install the OS/Firmware on the ALDI Tablet. WARNING!! THIS WILL WIPE EVERYTHING!!

1. Press the reset butt on the back, this will switch off the device.
2. Download the firmware. HERE

3. Extract the TB512-16GB_Build20121015.rar file using WINRAR

4. Place the extracted update.iso file onto the microSD card.

5. Boot the device by pressing Power and Right volume button together until you see a android dead on the ground with a red triangle above it, wait a few seconds.

6. Press the same buttons again together which will give you a menu.

7. From the menu select.
A) wipe data/factory reset
B) wipe cache partition
C) update rkimage from /sdcard
D) reboot system now

Your tablet will reboot. Wait 5 or so Minutes at the ANDROID logo, she should be all go after that!

Hi Sniper, Thank you so much for your precise guide (with links) on how to reinstall the OS on the ALDI Tablet Onix TB512-16G. I was able to get rid of a trojan(?) and everything is now working OK. You gave my tablet a second life!
